Volunteer To Help Us SAVE MORE DOGS!

Paws Fur Recovery Dog Rescue is a not-for-profit organization. Our volunteers help support our mission of giving recently rescued dogs their second chance at life! We are passionate about helping these dogs recover and find their way to new homes.

Volunteer positions

We have many types of volunteer positions. If you are a hands-on type of person you can come out and work directly with the dogs, we have activities you can do from home such as social media and helping organize events. If you don’t see a particular volunteer position on the list, please don’t hesitate to reach out! Any and all help that we can get to ultimately Save More Dogs, we’re all ears! Submit the application linked below!

Kennels

If you are interested in being hands-on with the dogs, we always need help on-site at our kennels in Indiantown, FL!

Shifts are from 8:30am – 11:30am or 4:30pm -7:30pm

Activities include providing food and water for the dogs, cleaning kennels, walking dogs, bathing dogs, supervising play yards. Dog Training (must have experience or participate in group training)

Outside events

These are usually held on weekends for 1-4 hours. We hold and/or participate at events all over the treasure coast area. From Palm Beach up to Vero beach and as far out west as Okeechobee! Typically the events are held on weekends, but occasionally during the week. We are always looking for volunteers who can come help out at an event in your local area! Activities include helping orchestrate or organize events, promoting events, handling dogs at events, transporting other volunteers or dogs to/from events, handing out informational brochures, selling t-shirts or other merchandise, etc.

Finding Volunteers or Donations

We ALWAYS need help soliciting to find new volunteer help or donors. There are lots of opportunities available when it comes to this area… Big or small we need them all. If you can help in ANY way, please reach out. Hit up your friend group or family. Put out posters. Post online. Create videos. Door knock. Cold call. Email. Whatever your heart desires. If you’re charismatic or a talker, or technologically gifted, or just a 14 year old who knows how to Tikity-Tok… You can help!

Social Media

Post to various social media platforms pictures and reels to showcase our dogs for foster and adoption, events we will be at or hosting, respond to questions, and provide special features such as sponsor a dog, quizzes, etc. to engage more followers. It’s always extremely helpful for the people who are helping out with social media to actually come out to the ranch and gather materials themselves (cute photos and videos of the dogs).

Events

Are you interested in planning, organizing or assisting with events? Are you good at locating resources and taking charge of a project from beginning to end? Do you work well with others and can coordinate teams to get things done? We need you!
